What viewers get in your Roku app
A real TV guide
Every channel in its own row, with what's on now and what's next, like Pluto TV.
Live and On Demand
Switch between your 24/7 channels and a Netflix-style library of videos.
Channel search
Viewers find a channel by name in seconds.
Your brand
Your app name, icon and splash screen, one of 10 guide themes, and an optional intro video.
Subscriptions with free trials
Charge monthly or yearly through Roku Pay, with a 7, 14 or 30-day free trial.
Private apps
Make the app members-only: viewers unlock it with an access code.
How it works
Set up the app
In Fluger, open Apps, pick the channels to include, and add your app name, logo and theme.
Get it into the store
Download a ready-to-submit build and publish it yourself, or let us publish it for you, store review included.
Update without new releases
Schedules, channels and videos come from Fluger, so your changes show up in the app right away.
Which videos play on Roku
Roku plays direct video links: MP4 and M3U8 (HLS) files, videos you upload to Fluger, and live streams. YouTube and Vimeo videos can't play inside Roku channels, so channels built on them are left out of the Roku app.
Two ways to publish
Publish it yourself
We prepare a ready-to-submit build. You submit it from your own Roku developer account.
We publish it for you ($95 one-time)
We build, submit and publish the app on the Roku Channel Store and handle the review. It can be listed under the Fluger developer account, with no store setup on your side, or under your own.
