Branding: templates, logo, favicon, custom CSS
Branding controls the overall visual identity of your site: which template pack you use, logo, favicon, and optional custom CSS. Changes usually apply across all pages that use that site’s theme.
Open Branding
- Sign in to
/admin. - Click Branding in the sidebar (requires permission).
Site template
- Your site uses one template (sometimes called a theme or folder), for example Default, FluFlix, Sunday, etc.
- Templates provide layout files, colors, typography, and region structure.
- Individual pages may let you pick a layout within that template (e.g. main landing vs. minimal). Changing the site template in Branding affects which layouts are available.
Changing the template may change which regions appear in the page editor — you might need to move widgets if regions are renamed.
Logo and favicon
- Logo — typically shown in the header; upload an image file per your admin’s instructions.
- Favicon — small icon in browser tabs; upload a square icon (often
.pngor.ico).
If you do not have permission to change them, ask an administrator.
Custom CSS
- Custom CSS in Branding is site-wide: rules you add apply in addition to the template’s styles.
- Use it for tweaks (fonts, spacing, colors). For large redesigns, prefer choosing a different template or working with a developer.
- Avoid pasting untrusted CSS from unknown sources.
