Build and Publish Your Fire TV App

Fluger generates a fully branded Fire TV app for your channel. You no longer need to download source code or build it yourself — you request a build directly from Fluger, we compile the app, and notify you once your build file is ready to download.

Step 1: Prepare Your Channel Assets

Before requesting your Fire TV app build, make sure your channel is fully configured. You will need:

  • Channel selected in Fluger

  • App name

  • App icon (PNG, 512 × 512 px, square, no transparency)

  • Banner/hero image for the Fire TV home screen (PNG, 1280 × 720 px)

  • Channel content ready and published

These assets will be used to brand your Fire TV application.

Step 2: Request Your App Build

  • Sign in to your Fluger account

  • Go to Apps → TV Apps

  • Click Request Fire TV App Build

  • Select the channel you want to publish

  • Upload your app icon and banner image

  • Enter your app name and description

  • Click Request Build

Step 3: Download Your Build File

Fluger builds your app in the background. Once it's ready:

  • You'll be notified in your Fluger dashboard (and by email) that your build is complete

  • Go to Apps → TV Apps → your app

  • Click Download Build File to get your APK

Step 4: Install or Publish Your App

You have two options:

Option A — Do it yourself

  • Open Amazon Appstore Developer Console

  • Create a new app listing under Fire TV apps

  • Upload your downloaded build file

  • Fill in app information, screenshots, and description

  • Submit for Amazon review

Option B — Let Fluger install it for you

  • Request installation from your Fluger dashboard, or contact Fluger support

  • Pay the one-time installation fee

  • Fluger handles publishing/installing your app on your behalf

After approval, your app will be available on Fire TV devices via the Amazon Appstore.

Requirements

  • No development tools needed — Fluger builds the app for you

  • Amazon Developer Account (free to register) — only needed if you choose Option A (self-publish)

  • Valid app icon and branding assets

Updating Your App

When you update your channel or branding all changes will be reflected on any device where the app is installed, except logo/icon — if you change your logo/icon, request a new build so it's included, then republish or reinstall.
